Financial Planning, Informed by Investing.

We believe planning is stronger when the people advising you also understand how capital is being put to work. At Juth, investment research, portfolio decisions, retirement strategy, and financial planning stay connected, and you work directly with the same advisors across all of them.

Based in Naples, serving investors and retirees throughout Southwest Florida, with clients also served in New York and New Jersey.

Decisions that shape what your wealth can do next.

These decisions are considered as part of the broader advisory relationship, not in isolation. We start by understanding what you own, what you want it to accomplish, and the trade-offs behind each path.

Retirement Planning with a CPA Perspective

You’ve built the assets. Now the question becomes how to turn them into the retirement you want without losing sight of the years still ahead.

How we help

We evaluate spending needs, reserves, income sources, and investment risk together, and identify the decisions that matter before and during retirement.

Plan your retirement

IRA & 401(k) Rollovers

You’ve accumulated retirement accounts across employers and want to know whether consolidating them makes sense or whether leaving them where they are is the better decision.

How we help

We compare leaving an account in place, moving it, rolling it to an IRA, and cashing out, including costs, protections, taxes, and our own conflict of interest.

Compare your options

Tax-Aware Investing

What you keep matters as much as what you earn. Investment decisions can affect taxes, so we consider the tax consequences alongside the investment case, not as an afterthought.

How we help

We consider asset location, realized gains and losses, Roth conversion opportunities, and withdrawal sequencing.

How working together looks

A clear path from first conversation to ongoing portfolio management.

Nothing changes until you understand the strategy and have seen it in writing. From the first conversation through ongoing management, you work directly with the same two advisors.

  1. Introductory Meeting

A private conversation about what you own, what you want it to accomplish, and whether we’re the right fit for each other.

  2. Understand the Full Picture

We review your accounts, time horizon, income and liquidity needs, tax considerations, and tolerance for risk before recommending changes.

  3. Strategy in Writing

Before anything is implemented, we put the recommended approach, account structure, and key risks in writing so you can understand both the recommendation and the reasoning behind it.

  4. Independent Custody

Your accounts remain in your name at Interactive Brokers, an independent custodian. Juth manages the portfolio, while your assets remain separate from the firm.

  5. Ongoing Management and Review

We manage the portfolio, monitor it on an ongoing basis, conduct formal account reviews at least quarterly, and make adjustments as markets, facts, and your goals change.

Frequently asked

What people usually ask first.

Where will my money be held?

Your accounts are opened in your name at Interactive Brokers, an independent custodian. Juth has discretionary trading authority over managed accounts, but your assets remain at the custodian and are not held by Juth.

Who actually makes the investment decisions?

The firm’s principals do. Jonathan leads investment research and portfolio construction, and clients work directly with Jonathan and Ruth throughout the relationship. Portfolio decisions are not handed off to a separate relationship team.

How are you compensated?

Investment management clients pay an annual advisory fee of 2.00% of assets under management, billed monthly in arrears. Juth does not receive product commissions, sales loads, revenue-sharing payments, or performance fees. Third-party costs, including brokerage or fund expenses where applicable, may still apply.

Is financial planning part of investment management?

Yes. We begin by understanding what your wealth needs to accomplish before making portfolio recommendations. Ongoing planning remains integrated with the investment management relationship rather than being handed off to a separate planning team.

Is standalone financial planning available?

Yes. Initial planning is included for prospective investment management clients, and ongoing planning is integrated into the advisory relationship. Standalone financial planning is also available as a separate fixed-fee engagement.

What types of accounts do you manage?

We manage individual brokerage accounts, traditional IRAs, and Roth IRAs held at Interactive Brokers. We can also review employer plans such as 401(k)s and help determine how they fit into your broader strategy, although we do not manage those plans directly.

Can I keep my CPA or attorney?

Absolutely. We coordinate with your CPA, attorney, and other professionals when appropriate so investment and planning decisions are considered alongside the rest of your financial life. We do not prepare tax returns or provide legal advice.

How often will we meet?

Managed accounts are monitored on an ongoing basis and formally reviewed at least quarterly. We encourage an annual review meeting, and you can reach us directly whenever your circumstances or priorities change.

Do you use options?

Selectively. Options may be used for income, hedging, or defined-risk opportunities when they serve a specific purpose in the portfolio. They are a tool, not a default allocation, and are not appropriate for every client.
